GvK Engineering was born from hands-on experience, tracing its origins to G.v.K. Racing, founded in 2009 as a company specializing in quad repair. As demand grew, the need for custom part design became clear. Design was only the first step—prototyping and production soon followed. Initially, we outsourced the production of several components, but quickly recognized the value of an in-house, metal-focused workshop equipped with a versatile machine park. Nick, the founder of GvK Engineering, is the middle of three brothers, with Bjorn as the eldest and Kris as the youngest. The brothers work closely together: Kris maintains a strong, direct connection to customers, while Nick and Bjorn focus on the engineering and production aspects of projects.
In early 2014, we officially Renamed GvK Engineering, channeling our design and production expertise directly to clients. Since then, we’ve made significant strides in manufacturing and established a clear direction for our future. Today, we specialize in rapid design and prototyping through 3D printing, primarily serving machine manufacturing companies. Our ability to deliver fast results is rooted in a close network of trusted collaborators and strong company values founded by Frans Geurts van Kessel, the father of the three brothers who lead the business today. Kim Geurts van Kessel, Bjorn's wife, plays a pivotal role in our operations, bringing essential balance and continuity to the team. Together, we honor Frans’s legacy with each project, combining cooperation and speed to meet every challenge.
We offer a wide range of services, from design to production, to meet your needs. Our services include:
Our commitment to precision and efficiency means we can deliver solutions tailored to your unique project needs, with an emphasis on quality and reliability.
3D printing has revolutionized our prototyping capabilities, allowing us to produce accurate and reliable prototypes quickly. These prototypes are invaluable for verifying precise measurements and assessing design functionality before moving into full-scale production. Within our own workshop, we rely on 3D-printed parts to streamline various processes, highlighting their durability and adaptability in practical applications. From custom fixtures to specialized tools, our 3D prints enhance efficiency and bring innovative solutions to daily operations. We also offer 3D printing services to clients, providing a wide selection of materials and colors to suit different project needs. With options ranging from basic PLA to more durable and heat-resistant materials, our prints cater to a variety of applications, from initial mock-ups to functional components. Our 3D printing service is designed to support both industrial and creative projects, ensuring high-quality output tailored to each client’s specifications.
With a diverse range of advanced machinery at our disposal, we have the capability to manufacture a wide variety of parts in-house, whether it’s a single prototype or a production run of up to 1,000 units. We excel in processing raw bar stock, cutting, and refining each piece to precise specifications using our CNC machines, milling centers, and other specialized equipment. For larger production volumes, we leverage both our in-house efficiencies and strong partnerships with other companies. This collaborative approach enables us to scale up production seamlessly, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or lead times. Our expertise spans the entire production lifecycle, from raw stock processing and machining to final product refinement and quality checks. This versatility allows us to meet a wide range of customer requirements with precision and efficiency, providing custom-tailored solutions that are often unavailable in conventional production settings.
